Southside Birthday Party!

This weekend we were asked to run our first textile printing activity at a children’s birthday party. We were greeted by 16 very excited girls ready to make the own customised t-shirts. We had preprepared 3 screens with simple artwork so that they had the choice of screen printing a star, heart or unicorn onto their t-shirt.

The birthday girl Izzy went first of course, choosing a pink unicorn as a starting point for her design. We also took along fabric pens so that the girls could make the t-shirts their own by adding slogans, artwork and names to them.

After an hour of intensive printing and designing the girls had finished off their own unique t-shirts and were so delighted with them that they put them straight on for a round of photos. It’s safe to say the activity was a resounding success and made the birthday girl’s day!
