Print for Wellbeing

Since beginning in 2018, Print Clan has been working in partnership with third sector organisations around Glasgow to provide communities with screen printing access, education and creative workshop opportunities. We always make efforts to present opportunities to include people who identify as being of marginalised identities. For Print Clan, ‘marginalised’ means non-power holding identities in terms of age, physical and mental ability, race, ethnicity, gender spectrum, religion, home status, sexual orientation, and family status. We recognise that these groups often face travel, accessibility and financial barriers to participation in the arts and our Wellbeing programme aims to address that.

Print for wellbeing clubs

Our Print for Wellbeing Clubs are fully-funded weekly drop in screen printing sessions that we run at external accessible venues, currently in partnership with the Govanhill Baths Community Trust (Govanhill) and Platform (Easterhouse). We created this programme after identifying a lack of accessible screen printing facilities in Glasgow, and receiving feedback from third sector partners that participants on our workshops would like to develop their screen printing skills on a longer-term basis.

If you or someone you know are eligible to attend Print Club - visit our Print Club Page or please email wellbeing@printclan.co.uk to learn more.

Wellbeing programme partners

We’ve previously partnered with a range of organisations to provide one-off workshops, bespoke events and short courses. We tailor each wellbeing programme to the needs of the organisation to provide the most valuable experience for members. Organisations that we have worked with include:

Members of Glasgow Women's Library 'Readers of Colour' group hold up tote bags, printed with the ROC logo at the Print Clan studio.

Members of Glasgow Women's Library 'Readers of Colour' group hold up tote bags, screen printed in a workshop at the Print Clan studio. Over two sessions we worked with the group to create a bespoke logo which was then exposed onto screens.
