Please note that we’ve had to postpone the workshop until Sunday 24 May due to technical issues with Zoom.
Join Arianna for this event, next in our series of online Zoom workshops to help see you through lockdown!
During this workshop we will be reworking elements of our drawings from the previous weeks into positives that can be impressed onto a coated screen, using a special exposure unit. Don’t worry if you haven’t joined in over the past weeks, simply grab an object from your house to draw, and we’ll take it from there. If you’ve participated in previous classes, grab your drawings to reference.
This workshop is open to all ages and abilities – no previous drawing experience required.
We will help you to understand the process of exposing a screen, and show you the best way to create a drawing that will successfully expose. By the end of the class you’ll be ready to expose your design onto a screen, to be printed as many times as you want.
What you’ll need:
Sheets of A4 paper: either white copy paper, tracing paper or acetate
Solid black drawing tools for this class are essential - ideally you will need a black marker pen, or black acrylic paint
A window or light box
A cup of sunflower oil and cotton pads
Scissors
Tape
This workshop is free but please consider donating to Print Clan to support our work. Print Clan will be donating a portion of proceeds to a Glasgow based foodbank. Simply register your interest to receive access to the Zoom link.
