  • Print Clan 241 High Street Glasgow United Kingdom (map)

What will happen during the workshop?
During this three week workshop you will learn the complete process of t-shirt printing. You will be guided through how to best create and set up a design for print, shown how to expose a screen and print your designs using our t-shirt carousel. You will have the opportunity to use different binders to produce different print effects, and also shown how to accurately print a design with two colours or layers.

I have never done screen printing before, can I come?
Of course - the workshop is suitable for all skills levels. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary.

What will I make?
Week 1
You are encouraged to bring drawings, sketches or images which will prompt a discussion about the appropriateness of image and how best to create a design for print. You will be shown how to correctly set up your artwork using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, and guided through the process of coating a screen.

Week 2
You will be shown how to expose a screen with your designs, how to mix inks and how to set up the t-shirt carousel for printing.

Week 3
You will be shown how to accurately print more than one layer and have the chance to experiment with our opaque and FF binders on 2 white and 2 black t-shirts that we will provide. You will leave with at least 4 printed t-shirts.

Equipment Provided:
Equipment and materials such as screens, squeegees, a range of ink colours, newsprint paper, cutting mats and knives are all included, as well as our opaque and FF binder. We will provide 2 white and 2 black t-shirts to each participant for experimenting, but suggest you bring extras for final prints.
